Chicago Police Investigating String Of Carjackings In Bucktown

Police are looking for carjackers, who still two vehicles in Bucktown yesterday morning. The first incident happened at around 2:30 a.m. Near Shakespeare and Oakley. Police say two males, one of whom had a gun, demanded a man's keys and took off in his brand New Jeep Cherokee. That Jeep was then seen in another Carjacking a mile away at 7 a.m. Bucktown Community Organization president Steve Jensen tells CBS to such crime is on the rise. It's been quiet the past couple summers, and it's disheartening to see this flare up again. Hopefully, the police can activate the task force that we remember from two years ago and see if they can make a dent. The task force has been reactivated and has plenty of work as the department reports three Carjackings in Bucktown this month
