City Council Finance Committee has approved several settlements worth more than $6.5 million. It is for lawsuits brought against the Chicago Police Department. The biggest payout 3.8 million is going if the full City Council agrees to former police officer Laura Kubiak. She was a sign of the department's media relations office.
