Hungary's government takes control of science academy


Hungary's National Assembly has adopted a controversial bill to vasi restructure the Hungarian academy of sciences fifteen institutes the academy will be placed in a newly established state research network the plans have repeatedly provoked protests from researchers and academics at home and abroad decision means the academy will be deprived of important financial resources including scholarships for scientists and funds the research projects and it could lose its grand in trying to Nora to finance its running costs the government says it wants to make hungry more competitive within the scientific world the changes are expected to come into force in
