FDA Suspends Clinical Trials Involving Fecal Transplants


The FDA has temporarily stopped experimental fecal transplants used to treat patients with severe intestinal disorders. Fecal transplants are used to restore the normal balanced between bacteria and other intestinal organisms. Food Drug administration says two patients received severe infections from transplant. Smart of them as died now, the FDA has stopped the clinical trials after samples were found containing some of the same germs as we're in patients. The agency says donors need to be screened for drug resistant, microbes and rejected. They don't pass
