Listen: Jon Stewart, President Trump And New York Post discussed on The Mike Pintek Show
"Hey, hey, Lynn, some lawmakers want to fund Pennsylvania school district through income taxes rather than property taxes. Katie radio's Joe DO tells us port authority will soon test a new wristband to get you on a bus or trolley and President Trump spoke to reporters in the Oval Office this afternoon alongside the president of Poland. You'll hear a couple of things he had to say at one thirty on Katie KYW radio. Thanks so much for that rose. And I'm guessing that most of you, like me saw the video of the former daily show host Jon Stewart making an emotional and impassioned presentation yesterday on behalf of the nine eleven victims, and it was all around a Bill for nine eleven victims. And not only did many of those victims show up to testify yesterday, Jon Stewart pointed out to them that many of our elected officials in colluding by Russian dollar Ivo point out didn't show up for the hearing. They weren't there for the hearing. It was a it was a hearing to discuss the possibility of continuing that compensation fund. Well, the New York Post is reporting that the Bill that permanently authorizes the nine eleven victim compensation fund passed the House Judiciary committee today and it passed unanimously. The interesting thing about that is so did it take Jon Stewart to fight back tears to get their attention, and on so many levels. I think he was right. Like where were these where were the people who were supposed to be there? There was one gentleman who testified he was a. He visit victim of nine eleven. He was one of the emergency responders. He is in the process or getting ready to receive his sixty ninth chemotherapy treatment. Do you know what it took for him to get there and our elected officials couldn't get there to listen to their impassioned plea? Now. The good news is if in fact, as the New York Post is reporting, it was passed it was passed unanimously, but it took Jon Stewart being there. And he's been a very, very vocal advocate on behalf of the emergency responders that were involved affected in nine eleven and, you know, many of them, this has been life changing for all of them on some level. For some more so than others. But life-changing none the less. So I heard one of the emergency responders in his testimony yesterday say you all say never forget, but somehow it seemed like they were being forgotten, but good news, it looks like it that has passed that fund has passed, and they do need to be taken care of for the rest of their lives. The quality of their lives. There you can't even put a price tag on it. You can't put a price tag on the quality of their lives. So hats off to John Stewart. I always liked to show. I really do. I miss it. I mean I like"
