Listen: Martha Stewart, Danika Patrick, Alex Rodriguez discussed on The Corp
"Welcome back to season two of the corp. I am your co host the big cat. I'm here with my co host. Alex rodriguez a rod. It's going to be back to have a second season. I am so excited. You know people everywhere where i go everywhere travelled and been like what's going on with seeing to already. Let's go where hungary and <hes> is going to be. I think even better than season one. I agree and we have a lot in store for everyone so we're doing something a little different. If you remember listening to the corporate season one we dropped everything all at once this season. We're going going to be doing to episodes every tuesday. I believe <hes> and we will pair people together interesting business people. We have kevin bacon and martha stewart this week. We have danika patrick coming up. <hes> stephanie mcmahon all kinds of people from all kinds of walks of life coming up on the corporate season two two so this episode though martha stewart. Maybe my favorite one we've done because she is so energetic so full life. She's written ninety four books or whatever it was. You've known her for awhile now. How that friendship come start yeah. Martha's a force of nature. I i got got to know her back. When i was early days coming to the yankee stadium and she would always sit george steinbrenner seats and would always talk about my my butt in pinstripes. I was like whoa but i've always been a huge fan of hers. I didn't realize how big the conglomerates she built run van in the fact that you know she's not a teenager and she still goes on dating apps. I i just thought the whole thing was awesome. She's such a pioneer and such a role model for everybody. Yes she really is in its. She is definitely <hes> everything about her. You know the the t._v. Host how she's reinvented her career that we talked about <hes> the differences you know the first active recruiter the second career similar yours and i have to ask you this question though <hes> so i'm going to ask a different question for for the intro throw to every single show something a little different for people to the nugget they can get great. <hes> what is we talked about home furnishing with mar- martha stewart and her career and how it is evolved. I'm obsessed with athlete couches. I think athletes have the best couches in the world that the biggest most comfortable couches. What was the first big couch you bought and how much was the first couch i bought was probably in seattle. I was a teenager. I was making good money not like crazy money not like dan cats money waiting for i'm open. I'm getting a bonus issue. Corporal literally yeah <hes> it was a big black black couch and they had in front of course of a big screen t._v. yup and it probably cost. I would say about eight hundred dollars. Oh okay that was nine hundred ninety ninety five or whatever it was but i really do think when you're when you go to an athlete's home and martha stewart probably go against because i don't think she would advise getting enormous oversized couches whenever i go to an athlete's home like that couches pretty <hes> no regular people don't get back out in that that large because they s extra-large or large. I'm talking to my feet. Hang out so you go into an athlete. A bachelor's usually like black leather couch too big screen t._v.'s for football games on sundays and stuff yeah. No one can steal this idea but i'm gonna say it because this is a business podcast but a hank can attest to this. I've had the idea of doing a coffee table. Book exclusively of aptly fleet couches. I love it right by kazan. You're looking at the couch while you're sitting on the couch. It's a whole it's a whole mellow biden. That'd be a bonus share there. We go perfect okay before before we get into our interview with martha stewart a quick word from our sponsor linked in so when i got hired for the corp i didn't go through lincoln and and you probably wish that we had gone through. I did yeah and ended up with me. So that right there tells you why you should use. Lincoln and hiring is in simple as putting an ad in the paper posting into job board when you're juggling hiring with everything it takes to grow your businesses importantly reach the right can't at the right time.."
