A Thursday shooting in Kentucky has a tragic ending, a third police officer has died after a shootout in eastern Kentucky. Floyd county sheriff John hunt says deputies were attempting to serve a warrant and the town of Allen when the shooting happened Thursday night. On Friday morning authorities announced that two officers had died in the shooting and a third officer was in critical condition. The Louisville courier journal says the third officer died from his injuries on Friday night. Four other officers were also injured, the gunman had been taken into custody. R. Kelly is being placed on suicide watch at the Brooklyn jail where he's currently being held, Brian shook has the very latest. The convicted sexual predator was sentenced to 30 years in prison earlier this week. Kelly's lawyer claims he was put on suicide watch as punishment being monitored 24/7 in a bare cell without any items like books or magazines. The rapper himself claims that he is not suicidal, but a spokesperson for the bureau of prison says they're committed to ensuring the safety of both inmates and staff. I'm Brian shook. American Airlines has reportedly offering pilots arrays, CNBC reports the north Texas based airline has offered the allied pilots association union around a 17% pay increase. American CEO Robert isom apparently told pilots retroactive pay and training pay raises are also a part of the deal. The union is now reviewing the offer. And buying all the foods for that 4th of July cookout will cost about 17% more this year. That's according to the annual survey done by the farm bureau, Gary Joyner, with the Texas farm bureau says, this is all caused by high gas prices and inflation, which is driving up the cost he says of just about everything. The WHO says urgent action is needed after monkeypox cases tripled and two weeks in Europe. Over 90% of the cases confirmed of the virus have been found in Europe as they've been reported in 31 European countries. Monkeypox is a viral disease that occurs mostly in central and western Africa. It has its name because it was first identified in laboratory monkeys, WHO officials called on governments to speed up efforts to prevent monkeypox from spreading further and said time is of the essence. Officials say monkeypox is an evolving health threat. California residents visiting the American river are seeing something unusual. Has the latest CBS 13 reports the water level in that area has risen and that's thanks to releases from the Folsom dam. The move comes as California continues to be in a severe drought. However, the bureau of reclamation says some of that water is headed to farms and cities along the stream. The majority of it is used to clear out any saltwater near the Sacramento San Joaquin Delta that in turn cleans out water for drinking and other environmental needs. As far as scheduling the releases for the 4th of July weekend, the bureau says, that's just a coincidence. Uber is releasing its latest safety report and the number of sexual assaults, according to the company it received just over 3800 reports of sexual assault and misconduct from 2019 through 2020. That's a 38% decrease from their prior report from 2017 through 2018. The decline coincides with the pandemic, which resulted in a drop in ridership.
