It's eight oh five of the bay area's news station KCBS expects sunshine and a lot of it throughout the afternoon today good morning I'm Melissa call Ross and the morning I'm Dan Mitchinson here is what's happening a suspect is in custody after an hours long standoff with police that forced evacuations and a shelter in place order in Vallejo yesterday KCBS is Peter finch has a story it all began about quarter past two Saturday afternoon when a woman called nine one one to say she had been kidnapped and raped when police showed up at a home on willow street the suspect forty one year old I Nell Cole a vocal and took off he ran into a home on Holly street and refused to come out neighborhood resident James Perry was among those who had to evacuate one Vallejo swat team moved in he tells KPIX five really knows out here that I came we came outside we can relieve. and then they would let us out then they finally moved in that it sounded like it back in it ended around eight thirty last night when the swat team entered the home and the suspect peacefully surrendered Peter finch Casey BFI fighters have contained a blaze in Lake County that charred more than fifty acres and had at one point forced the evacuation of several neighborhoods the fire broke out yesterday afternoon in the area of coal creek road and highway twenty nine year Kelsey bill bristling with cal fire tells KCBS that more than a hundred firefighters manage to keep the flames away from nearly one hundred homes here support the ground troops and all the agencies involved did a really good job containing this fire corralling it to a degree and making good containment efforts despite the wind which made some runs in some grass the fire now is a hundred percent contained two fires are burning your Orville of bringing back memories of the camp fire for some people in Butte county who relocated from paradise Swedes fire has burned four hundred acres it is twenty percent contained while the Forbes town fire has burned fifty seven acres and is eighty five percent contained this morning both burning in a rural area just south with west skews me southeast of Orville evacuation orders are in place in two buildings have been destroyed including one home governor governor Newsome.
