Listen: Guy Hitler, HBO, Paul Schrader discussed on We'll See You In Hell
"Priest who may or may not. Be dealing with people who are doing environmental crimes, but it's just, I know that sounds insane, but it's a movie about like the hypocrisy of religious people, basically at the end of the environmental and how they act like they're doing the right thing, but also supporting companies that destroy the environment is where it starts to go to. It starts to feel a little like a conspiracy nut wrote it because I think Paul Schrader is conspiracy. But. It's a very interesting movie and like pretty crazy, which I really enjoyed about it. There's a lot of like really weird shit, and I like to quite a bit. I recommend it. I watched all HBO made for HBO film called conspiracy. Starring Stanley Tucci. What's his face? The king's speech. You know, the guy from the king's speech, tell me who it is. I don't remember his name Colin Firth Colin Firday his name. I couldn't remember his name. He couldn't say his name either in that film and then Kettering Brad, Kenneth Brana. All right, as nutty hitters are member seeing the box for this movie at the video store? Well, it's called conspiracy. It's about this secret meeting that a bunch of Nazis head in this this house somewhere in wherever the fuck it was, you shouldn't get to use the title conspiracy on a Nazi movie conspiracies to general, and it should have something to do with Nazis. I thought because it was a bunch of Nazis. The getting tech scroll that says, there's one record of this meeting. Everything else was destroyed. It's a fabled meeting, but it did happen in this. This film is based on the one record or whatever. So I'm like, oh, this is going to be bad. Like there's some like spy got in in infiltrated the Nazis, Sal corre-. Yeah, with Tom Cruise, good picture, but it wasn't. They were Nazis having a meeting and the meeting was about, and I never knew this, which is, which is what I found interesting about the film, a piece of information. I didn't know about history. It was them Kenneth Branagh plays the guy that proposes the plan to exterminate Jewish people, the they're kind of all ready doing it secretly. But he's the guy that comes in and says, we're going to do this gas chamber thing, and they they, you know, the the debate in the meeting. I never knew it happened like that. I always thought it was like Hitler just said, we're doing this. They're just like, okay. But at the end of the day they did has usually the kind of guy Hitler was. Yeah, yeah. So there's really no hope in the film. It's bad guys talking to bad guys, the bad guys do what they say they're going to do is you know, and the craziest part is one of the guys in that meeting ended up. Almost everybody. They do the little blurb at the end to year two months later, he died shot or whatever. This guy died in jail. This guy was convicted of war crimes. Justices pretty much served everybody except there's one guy where they're like he later. Contributed to the American University of with thick. Came over here worked at a college. Okay. I didn't, and I try looking up like more info on that and there's very little out there fucking fuck does that workout God goddamn the most. Infamous Nazi meeting of all time, and you're part of the crew, and you get to go teach at a fuck and college or something. I thought that was crazy. Seem fair to me anyway. It's a good film, good actors, but it's not a pick me up. What now as I always ask, what inspired you to watch conspiracy? I had finished all the way which was my second LBJ movie of that day. You might also enjoy this? No, I was just flipping through the HBO movies. I saw the show the to face it said conspiracy. This is a three movie day for you. Yeah. I said, I've never seen this. I'm going to watch it, so I watched it. All right. Real slow, burn that one. Yeah. Anyway, I'm not gonna watch that.."
