Time to flee from hurricane. Lawrence is rapidly. Dwindling the eye of the category. Four storms expected to pass between Bermuda and the Bahamas today and arrive at the Carolina coast by Friday, but tropical storm force winds extending one hundred and seventy five miles from the center or expected to arrive on land today this morning, giving more than one million people very scarce time to evacuate. Preparations to protect life and properly property should be rushed to completion said the National Hurricane Center. Latest developments as of eight AM eastern time this morning. The center of the storm was in the Atlantic Ocean about five hundred and thirty miles from Cape fear. The storms sustained winds had eased slightly two hundred and thirty miles an hour mild. Yeah. Forecasters warned that the winds are expected to strengthen later in the day. It will be upgraded probably the category five they've done that thing where they all the freeways, go one direction, and that's away from the coast. Don't want anybody coming toward a life threatening. Storm surge is likely to hit the low lying coasts of north and South Carolina. And they neglected to or declined to do of seawall work of years ago. Well, it's expensive and want to spend the money for it. And that's going to cost them. Now. Yup. President Trump promised this morning that the federal government is ready for the big one. But we're ready, but they're ten million dollars short in their FEMA coffers because we had to build kit. Cages for the kids tremendously. Big tremendously. Wet Cardi stupid. Mates have been evacuated from a prison ahead of hurricane. Florence really an hog farmers are scrambling to drain waste pool. Oh, jeez. Ahead hurricane foreign and pick that right up strain at where where does it? Go. Yeah. I don't I don't know. But you know, we'll be ready because as President Trump said we did a great job in Puerto Rico. We did a great job, plus great job and underappreciated, but a great job in San Juan Puerto Rico, you get paper towels and you'll get paper towel. I went down there. I wore one of those FEMA jackets. I guess it says something like high crimes, and I don't I don't know how you can beat somebody who's done a great job. Health experts only read in the story for a special legislative session on medical marijuana here in Utah could be called in November. After voters decide whether or not to pass the ballot initiative legalizing it. Governor Herbert is not ready to call lawmakers in the special session to consider expanding legislation passed earlier this year allowing the terminal terminally ill use medical marijuana. The idea was floated for a couple of minutes. The governor's chief of staff said he expressed no opinion about it. He's interested in learning some of the ideas that being shared so the but after proposition two whether it passes or dozen pass special session may be called. So so the thinking now we discussed this on the van Oker group, which the podcast of the van Oker group will be released tomorrow it'll be posted tomorrow. I think the proposition to will pass narrowly, but Dave Owen and Bruce Baird. And I think even Chris the three of them think it will fail narrowly, really. Yeah. So, but it depends my feeling about it is there are enough. There will be enough new voters. There are a lot of people who have never voted in a midterm before. That are coming forward to vote. Yes. There will be enough new voters because they're concerned about what's going on nationally. But are they gonna show up? That's the that's what I'm that's what I'm thinking. I think they will. I think new voters I think that there will be people new people to register to vote and people who haven't voted in a long time will come out and vote in the midterms. All right. That's it weather traffic. We'd know hurricane here. It's sunshine eighties for the foreseeable future. We are in a red flag fire. Warning, though. So that you're setting any fires flicking your cigarettes mean stuff like that. Rain hot dry and a little bit breezy. So that's a recipe for trouble seven days. You'll have rain in Hawaii. It's gonna rain. And traffic that's just liquid sunshine. Carey I don't care. I'm in Mali. I gotta drink in my hand. No accidents being reported right now. But I do see a little slow edge through the Draper say the area on I fifteen northbound. I don't see anything in our message stream. But if you want to send something I would appreciate it. Text it to us three three nine eight six.
