MA Gov. Baker says 'enormous increase' in coronavirus testing is coming


Governor Charlie Baker activates up to two thousand members of the National Guard to support the response to the virus governor also wants to see more testing done wrapping up corona virus testing capacity can't come soon enough for governor Baker his administration expects that public and private labs in the state will be able to process up to thirty five hundred tests a day by Monday health and Human Services secretary Mary Lou Sutter says tests right now are being prioritized among three main groups to insure their health care workers get tested really fast insure that our first responders get tested really fast to make sure that folks who are critically ill in hospitals get tested really quickly by next week quest diagnostics says it will be able to process twenty thousand tests today nationally with several thousand of those tests being processed at their large lab here in Marlborough this facility will eventually go to about two to three thousand per day Kevin Tunnicliffe WBZ Boston news
