Tonight a federal appeals court has upheld a block on a Mississippi law that would ban most abortions at about six weeks when many women might not even know they're pregnant appeals judges agreed with the district judge who last year block the six week ban from taking effect the only abortion clinic in Mrs Mississippi sued the state soon after that law was signed by then governor Phil Bryant basically a ban on abortion if you can detect a so called fetal heartbeat now of course that is far before viability which is protected by roe V. Wade so many say that these are not so much laws that are intended to go into effect but these are laws that are directly aimed at the Supreme Court and roe V. Wade as a way to kind of dismantle abortion access national CBS news reporter
