Another court blocks Biden's student loan forgiveness plan


There's been another legal setback for President Biden's plan to forgive student loan debt for millions of borrowers A three judge panel with the 8th circuit Court of Appeals has agreed to keep in place a preliminary injunction that blocks the loan forgiveness program while the appeal process continues in court This comes just days after a federal judge in Texas also blocked the program saying it couldn't be done without congressional authority One of the plaintiffs Nebraska's Republican attorney general says this latest ruling recognizes that the attempt to forgive more than $400 billion in student loan debt threatens serious harm to the economy the Biden administration appealed the Texas court ruling and is expected to appeal this new one from a St. Louis court as well Jackie Quinn
