Penske buys IndyCar and Indy Motor Speedway


Eight it's a move that has shocked the auto racing world both the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the indycar series have new owners Tony home and bought what was a dilapidated and largely abandoned speedway in nineteen forty five bringing racing back to Indianapolis after a four year break because of World War two and turning it into a modern day sports icon the sale to Penske entertainment corporation ends a seventy four year reign by the home and family and begins a new era under the winningest team owner in the Indy five hundred history as part of the deal Penske will also own all the spin off subsidiaries including the indycar series and Indianapolis Motor Speedway
