Inappropriate are all his back back for more has my favorite singer. Stephen peercy would say, and we've had a big week aghast and they just keep getting better and better. We had Tom green FREDDY got fingered road trip, and for you hockey fans opening week of the NHL season. We had the preeminent hockey reporter in the United States and Canada Dennis Bernstein on next week, we got berry cats who is someone I've always wanted to talk to, but forget about next week. This week, we've got another comedy manager, comedy voyeur. He's guided the careers of. People like Jim Norton, Jim Florentine, Patrice O'Neal. He's been around the scene and every now and then I like to have a behind the scenes guy to explain this business to me because I like axl rose said I've been in the jungles for twenty years and I'm still slinging out. This man could probably help a sway JR. Some of my bitterness mater Mr. Jonathan Branston and the house. Thank you. Well, it's good to be here. I don't know if I can sway any fears, but I think that boy, what a week, you've got all these people, then managers. But I think a lot of comics. Listen to this podcast. Yeah. And you know, I think even the people who are just fans of the podcast want to get a, what I like to call a behind the curtain of the business berries like super good at. This while the reason why I wanted him was I am obsessed with, and this is what bums me out. We all know comics who should have made. It should be famous many. I often say that if I ever quit comedy and became the Booker of say, and I would expose the world to so many funny people who just. Yeah, you know, are socially awkward. They don't have a manager. There's a comic by the name of Charlie Barnet. I absolutely knew he was effect. I met him Salonga time ago in New York City. So paulie shore who you know, just opened up arm, his brother, Pete, and I went to college together and Pete made this like short film. We were at NYU and he made this short film and in the short film because Pete me comedians, he got Charlie Barnet and it was it was kinda I experienced where you hear those fingers, weird fingers. I don't know the fingernails. Yeah. The whole thing was the whole. I mean, not they weren't. It's not that they were that long, but he had like. Over-sized, it was sim weird. I see. I don't remember the full story, but it was something to do with either some kind of disease that he had at one point it causes fingernails to the tips of his fingers were huge normal. They were just like huge most like a cartoon character. It was a weird thing and but he but this guy though, I mean, you could see he had it. He was. He was very unstable obviously. But but but I mean, we shot I mean so long ago, but we were in shooting scene in Washington square park. It was it was supposed to be walking and talking to someone I don't remember who or what. But at one point like they were waiting for the camera we set up and he stands up on a bench and starts doing stand up, and it was like it's in the morning to like it wasn't wasn't nighttime or something. And the guy. Anyway, I don't mean to go on Charlie Barnet, but it was. It was it was. He was brilliant. He was absolutely brilliant. It just like pains me that you know his life ended the way it did and like, you know, he was up for SNL and you know, I think he had trouble reading cue cards. So he kind of just bailed on his last. I mean, he got to the last step and I, I don't know, you know, you just said, fuck it, and then Eddie Murphy. Got it. I remember filming again, this was a student film, but because it was a Polly's brother, Pete, and he, he knew some comics we, Charlie, it was like supposed to be three or four days we were shooting with him. And of course, like the third day gone, am I a and you know, you kind of have to adapt..
