Listen: Ncaa, Football, Dayton discussed on Mike McConnell
"Here and as NCAA play offs get underway. They finally came to their senses, and you can help by a beer that is true. It started last night in Dayton as they held the first four of the NCAA basketball tournament people who are in the stands at UD arena. Could enjoy a beer or a glass of wine? The NCAA has had a prohibition on alcohol sales for a number of years at the basketball tournament. There's a lot of speculation as to why they made the change NCAA last year when they announced it said that they wanted to be contemporary. Yes. Like people that all of a sudden just started drinking beer at basketball games. Desiring that the critics say it's more about increasing attendance in getting people into the locations to watch the games in person. Instead of watching them on TV kind of the battle of the football is had with James showing a little bit better on television, especially when you can switch from one to two or three or four games at a time. Games. A blowout. You're gonna watch a closer game somewhere else. The NCAA still is banning liquor sales at these events, but the changes started I noticed it. I last night when I saw tweet from our own Moega who always goes to the to the first four games in Dayton and had his first beer as he sat down in his seat. Didn't they debate that one time at all NCA football game? Yeah. Then there are still colleges. I think that don't allow beer sales for whatever reason on campus because of so many cats that attend and things remember they didn't Budweiser sponsored Bill scoreboards, they didn't want and all that was a debate at one point in time. And sure it's it'll probably come full cycle, and we'll get back to that point at some point to if there's problems, but for now the rule has been changed coming up on our news at eight o'clock, sad tragic story from a father whose son was an athlete at Turpin high school one of the football stars. There who's committed suicide. There's been a rash to the Forest Hills district and that data speaking out to try and help other parents, we'll have a story in fifteen minutes.."
