The most recent happened Wednesday night at a parking lot on Leesburg pike county police say after a car meet up was held that night, county police found several cars had been hit by gunfire and two people had minor injuries. On September 23rd, police responded to a lot on south Jefferson street, where two cars had been hit by gunfire, no one was injured, and on July 16th at a parking lot on Leesburg pike, a driver leaving a car meet up, had his car hit by what police think was gunfire. One person there was left with a minor gunshot wound. Fairfax county police want to hear from anyone with information about the case. Also, some folks who ride metro rail are going to be without Wi-Fi for a while. Metro says Wi-Fi and cellular service is out between Smithsonian and farragut west on the orange, blue and silver lines, and between metro center and farragut north on the red line.
