Look at all. Oh boy. I just waste. Rod. Would you could hear our Dan Miller, the voice of lions football as it is exciting. I know you're at the games, and it's exciting to be at the game. I of course. But boy, if you take a long your radio and listen to Dan Miller, a WJR rod would lines president. It's extra exciting, sir. Happy first day. Nice nice start season. That was good here. And Dan call that touchdown to dead felt good. We want to hear a lot of that. Don't we we sure do Steve Courtney is here with us. His team get started later. I mean, he started now with us this morning, but we're not at the shed shed five at eastern market is ever will be from nine nine this morning on. And then Steve has his whole opening shebang at four o'clock Steven rue yes, indeed looking forward to it. And Matt Patricia became the new lion's head coach. It just seems like yesterday it was actually February. And then it's scheduled comes out late April. Rod and everybody likes to find out where the opener is going to be have worked out any better. Under the bright lights of Monday night. Football can't control the weather. Although I appreciate it being a little bit more football. Like, that's just me. One thing's for sure when lines nation gets to Ford field tonight. The bells and whistles will be in full effect, sir. Yeah. We're looking forward to Monday night football. I game for Matt. Patricia the head coach doesn't get much better than that. And I'm sure we'll have a allowed and full house tonight. All the new features for the Ford field fans and everybody it's just gonna be great. And you know, as you pointed out, rob the Matt Patricia has made it very clear he's got a very detailed plan for the whole season. He does in this process started not long after he was hired as the head coach. And he built the plan for the training camp preseason games about getting ready for the rich. And I have a lot of confidence in the plan and a lot of confidence head coach. Rod let me ask you this. And it is a Senator times conversation. Sadly it was announced yesterday. There will be no national anthem policy in the NFL per se this season that being said rod is it your understanding that is going to be implemented on a team by team basis or how's it gonna work? Sixty the discussions continue between the league and the players, and I'm gonna let those discussions continue. I'm not gonna comment on what you know, the league and the players are doing I'm I'm aware of what our plan is going to be and we're going to keep that inside the lions and talk about football, candidly, as as with the nation is a matter of fair, sir. And that is for certain but felt obligated to ask you your thoughts on that. Now getting back to the subject matter at hand, and that is the thousand eighteen opener. It's a very interesting draw for the Detroiters based on Matt Patricia history where the New England Patriots knows the jets very very well interesting enough you've got a rookie quarterback coming into Ford field tonight. And we have seen rod in the past the homefield make a difference in the opposition's performance. Hopefully that trend continues. Yeah. Our fans can make a huge difference. At puts a lot of pressure on the opposing team to try and get their signals audibles called stay on the same page. I'm hoping that we get up to a good start. If the fans, you know in the game and keep them in the game throughout the whole game. And make it a tough place to play. We're looking forward to it tonight. But all day long, the celebration continues the tailgating at eastern market shed five and rod would has his ankles taped. And is ready. Ready for the game tonight. Thank you rod. All right. You guys have a great day. Look forward to seeing everybody else stadium tonight. We'll look forward to seeing you there. Mr president. Rod would our Detroit Lions president right here at seven fifty two on lions radio..
