To battle the apple fire that's burning in the Riverside County Community of Cherry Valley. The blaze was first reported Friday, around five PM near Apple Tree Lane and Oakland Road about 30 miles east of Riverside. A fire has charred nearly 21,000 acres and listed at 5%. Containment. Investigators believe the blaze was started by arsonists. A 40 hour effort to rescue seven Camp Pendleton, Marines and a Navy sailor missing since an amphibious assault vehicle sank off the San Diego County coast. Thursday is over.
