Listen: San Jose Sharks, San Jose, Jake Allen discussed on Total Information AM
"Big win last night out west for the blues. Their second straight, w let's go to California Chris Kerber enjoy the tally by Brian. Thank you, well along with Jovic tally and Joe last night, the Saint Louis blues defeated the Los Angeles Kings by a score of four to nothing. One of the big story lines going into the game. We sat in the pre-game show was Jake Allan he needed a good response game. After the previous performance against the Carolina Hurricanes and then with seven goals on forty seven shots over two games going in the last couple by Jordan Bennington. A real opportunity stared him down he answered three Hugh saves in the first ninety seconds of the game set the temple blues exploded for three goals in the second and Jake ends up closing out at twenty eight save shutout performance. It's a big game from Jake who may have earned the net tomorrow against San Jose shark with that went. Exactly right last night in LA. The Saint Louis blues came out a little bit sleepy in that game. You had to fully great all loan in front to start that game. Jake Allen made some razor sharp saves. He was engaged the entire night. We did mention it in the pre-game. It'd be interesting to see if he has a good performance last night in LA. What Craig you would do in San Jose, Jake Allen terrific performance last night coming out playing the puck. He on his Anglesey made a terrific behind the backpack. Save in the second period. Just terrific. You're gonna see that one on ESPN. Sportscenter guaranteed. Jake Allen was sharp the whole team in front of him was terrific four lines engaged in that game. Just terrific lose hockey. Brayden Schenn came back in the game two days ago against the Anaheim ducks he had a goal in an assist last night in Los Angeles. He added two more assists. It's amazing. But he has become the engine for that top line. He has his presence alone. He just he looks so comfortable out there. He's making behind the back passes him and tears single. Have just connected. So well, and when you combine. With rhino rally. His stick checking abilities his effort, he's hard nose on pox. This has been the top line for the Saint Louis blues. Extremely evident the last two nights in Anaheim NLA last night. Look for them to be another big force, and San Jose, San Jose comes your way tomorrow, it's an afternoon game, one o'clock Pacific time. So three o'clock puck drops Saint Louis time. And now a big test the sharks are playing well, they're knocking on the door. They've got a terrific chance of catching the Calgary. Flames that take over the top spot in the Pacific Division. So a big test against jumbo Joe Thornton and the San Jose Sharks. Tomorrow. It wasn't the blues got shelled in San Jose a few months ago. So they're looking for a little bit revenge. And and to me this is a tone setting game, San Jose Sharks in Saint Louis blues. If everything goes well for both teams could see themselves in the playoff picture here within another month or so so for the Saint Louis blues, you gotta come out. You gotta have a good start. You gotta have some edge. You gotta have some bites emergency last night in LA. I thought it was a very physical game emotionally everyone was into it. Pat. Maroon certainly look. Led the charge last night, but San Jose Sharks are completely different beasts in LA kings. You mentioned Carlson burns all the threats on the back end up front. Joe thornton. I mean, the list goes on and on. So the blues are going to have their hands full in San Jose O'Brien the victory yesterday by the blues put the blues at thirty six twenty five and six seventy eight points. Winnipeg in Nashville were idle, so the Saint Louis blues have pulled themselves within four points of second place in the division and just five points of first place in the division. Still with a couple games in hand on the Nashville predators sort of blues with a huge opportunity for a great road trip tomorrow afternoon here in San Jose. That's Joe Vitale, I'm Chris Kerber, and Brian that'll do it from us from the west coast. Let's get."
