Automatic TRANSCRIPT

Interview are if you're just joining us, basically, the whole show today, so far has been about this Phoenix. Police incident with the family, Reverend Jared mopping on MAC. And mopping went at it. I don't know how else to say it was content. You're going to hear some of that. I think at three thirty we should open up the phones. We haven't done this on this particular incident. And I think that's what we should do at three thirty. I think we should hear from you. Okay. So go ahead. Guys and opened up the phones. What we'll talk to you about this because I think everybody has an opinion. Speaking of the mop and interview, I don't know if we really got anything out of it other than, you know, you don't like him. He doesn't like you. It's not that I don't like him. I don't like what he represents and I don't like what he's pushing or selling the community. It's this, it's just the whole hypocrisy of the whole thing. He's probably a nice guy, but I just don't like his stance on this, black and white issues like this. All right. How much does race play into the situation would would if it was a white couple? Yeah. Would mop and come out of the woodwork if this were a white family at this happened to hate to say it, but no, he has come out, and he has he has a backed up white people on occasion. But a lot of what you will see with him is African American men and they're running with police, and sometimes the police screwed up. And sometimes, you know, whoever he's advocating for screwed up on aim. James is the is the father, Aisha Harper is the mom to kids in the car. Here's the thing, we know a lot more about drive on aims. And this isn't the first time that he has been in trouble with police. Yeah. He's not necessarily pure as the driven snow comes along. Not drive on aims is currently facing charges of advocate aggravated assault against an officer. Here's what happened in two thousand eighteen there was apparently a car accident. Maupin said he ran out of gas. All right. So right out of the gate. I don't know what's going on. But there was something wrong with his car. It was an accident, or it was Iran. I guess the police report says that in two thousand eighteen. It was five thirty in the morning. He was involved in a crash. Officers say wasn't he wasn't answering questions and he was acting strangely. He tried to kick and punch them several times. One officer, even wrote aims reach for his gun, then he got tased twice. And they got punched three to five times in the face. Because by the way, that's what's going to happen. If you try and grab a cop's gun but Maupin would say that's not true. He never went for the web. I mean there's just so much gas lighting in all this, he admitted to smoking marijuana he was cited for driving under the influence of drugs. So, so that's the incident twenty eighteen and you know, he's had another incident here in two thousand nineteen so there are two incidents. Where this guy has been involved with the cops. So I think you've got a you've got to do a couple of things here. Let's be fair. Okay. Let's go over Ames and his background. All right. Let's also go over the police officer and his background. You can do that. Absolutely. And they can go through they can pull you up on a on a screen and see what your priors are if you have any outstanding warrants also waiting for court. My point is if you're going, if you're going to look into both backgrounds seat. This cop is done something like that before. So see if the suspect aims has done this before he has. So if you don't want to talk about that. Well, I think it has a lot to do with what happened. Just the other day. All right, six zero two two seven seven five eight two seven we want your reaction..
