"NBA writer for Bleacher report my guest today. Danny green of the Toronto. Raptors formerly, of course of the San Antonio Spurs. Danny kind enough to spend a little time on a Saturday afternoon. You'll be listening to this probably on Monday. But the raptors were here Friday night in Brooklyn took a tough loss to the nets in overtime, and Danny sticking around for a couple of extra days or skews me one extra day here because he's putting on the inaugural battle in the apple two high school tournaments here in New York and very cool event. Danny stuck around to help get that off the ground putting it on with some of his partners and kind of then to spend a little time with us here in studio at Bleacher report, we covered all of the the usual basis. Of course, the trade how he processed that back in July has his own podcast inside the green room where he was able to. Talk about that almost immediately. An interesting moment for Danny green. Because of course, his career started out with a very challenging path being cut a few times have spending time in the D league and overseas, and then to to finally settle them with San Antonio and seven years later to be traded from the team where he finally made it and want to championship obviously, very difficult, but the transition to Toronto for him and Kawhi Leonard has been almost seamless the raptors have been phenomenal early in the season. Those guys both playing great Kyle Lowry breakout season from PASCAL Ceac him and rookie coach Nick nurse off to a fantastic start to his career there. So great insights from Danny green about all of that and about Nick nurse and how he's doing so far we talk a lot about pop and the things that, you know, about pop from from a player perspective that I think a lot of us on the outside. Don't get a full view of in can't really appreciate. And and we talked a little bit about co about Danny being the kind of the the go-to Kawai whisperer not that it's a role that he wanted. But when you get traded with the guy, and you're spent that much time, and obviously not the easiest guy to read you kind of fall into that role. So we cover all that much more. We'll get to that in just a minute my weekly plug plea request. Please subscribe on apple podcasts or wherever you'd like to get podcasts.
