Listen: Microsoft, Amazon, Cortana discussed on The Kindle Chronicles
"Can I figure my store experience differently rapidly? So that I can get smaller. If I need to I can add a section of the store that does self-checkout in an automated way as that technology becomes cheaper. I'd also have an entire team that does nothing but go around the country and shop at these stores, Amazon experimenting with and just case every inch of the place and figure out how they're squeezing value out of that footprint. The Microsoft partnership has been interesting. I saw today that Microsoft is now selling echo smart speakers in its Microsoft stores, and you can do Cortana with your echo and vice versa. Would he thinks going on there? Microsoft is basically throwing in the towel on having direct relationship with end consumers. I mean, they have office three sixty five. That's really the relationship that they still have they're trying to get back the browser game. And they are the second best browser in major markets. So that's good. But the the real story is that they understand that this voice thing is happening without them. I can't imagine there's a high percent of people who have turned their echoes to Cortana mode. It's going to be small, and they're going to be like the people who were on fire FOX as a browser. Like, I'm the five percent who refused to go along with the with the big guys. That's fine. I think an Amazon's business or in Microsoft's business excuse me, the real value of ongoing relation ship with Amazon is they can be relevant to that customer. So that when that customer is making business decisions about having Microsoft Office and having outlook for business, they prefer it.."
