Listen: Anthony Davis, Josh Gordon, Celtics discussed on The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
"It because you end up hurting everyone the team you're going to gets hurt the team you're leaving gets hurt because you're getting a lesser player. So if you're the pelicans at the end of this year, and you don't feel like you have a firm long term commitment for Anthony Davis. You're obviously trading. Then. Right. I mean, that's what it would take your, obviously. And then if you're the Celtics would you trade some of those assets to get Anthony Davis who can only be with you for one year, and you have to lose, kyri Irving. So I think that part is also fascinating. If you're the Celtics would you want Anthony Davis for a year? All I want Anthony Davis in my uniform, and and they're aren't but a handful of players in the league that I wouldn't take that risk on. Anthony Davis is better than Kawhi Leonard. Toronto just did that with damore derozen. It's what you do give me one year. I gotta start. I got a good player. I got an all star derozen out. Do I get the better player? You all main man what like five guys in the league may not even that I wouldn't trade France and David. I treat everybody for Anthony Davis given given his age like how old is he twenty twenty four. Anthony Davis is. A lot of I'm looking it up right now. He's twenty five years old Anthony Davis. I mean, Dan there I think who is a better player. But I understand what you're saying. There were very few players. You would do that for taking for year knowing he might not stay longer than that. And Anthony Davis is certainly one of those guys. It's the superstar game you have to get the superstars on your team by any means necessary. I don't think Boston can win the way that they are trying to do it. It's not good enough. Their best guy any team in the league except for like three would be getting a better player than any. They have if they get Anthony Davis, and you always make that trait. But before we go down that path with Charles Barkley because Alison just told me that he called him. But we don't have this time time in this segment to get to him. So we'll do it in the next segment. Josh Gordon is now taking a leave from football. He couldn't make it work with one end of the spectrum. The loser loser Browns, and he couldn't make it work on another end of the spectrum with the winning patriots a couple of games before the season. And I don't know where the audience falls on this because sports fans can be super judgmental and rain down pejoratives on the character of the entertainers, but this dude is troubled and he's in a dark place. And I don't know what mental health means. I don't know in this regard in his regard. I know what it means in general. I don't know what his particular darkness is. I don't know if the drugs are a mask for the darkness. I don't know if he's a drug addict, or if he simply addicted to not wanting to feel bad anymore and so uses drugs to do that. I assume that him stepping away is because he's failed another drug tests. I don't know if that's fair or not. But he's used up the benefit of the doubt. So. Josh, Gordon is gone. Again, Bruschi is on I fake right now put him up.."
