Liberty Media, President George Bush, President Trump discussed on The Jason Stapleton Program
Jason Stapleton program dot com for its Facebook will take you there the private of the largest liberty minded private group. I think on on the interwebs, and it's it's full of great people to so go check it out. Interesting conversations happen great articles being posted on a daily basis. Lots of great stuff and today, we're gonna talk I had a request to talk a little bit about the universal basic income. They've said I've you've talked about this before any update on it. And we'll know there's no update on the way I feel about it. But I can reiterate what I feel using a current event. And so I've got an article here from Bloomberg a Swiss village trying to raise enough money to experiment with a form of the universal basic income head so we will discuss that a little bit. We will discuss the riots that are happening in France over their tax carbon tax, and then another issue in here. Liberty Media angling to. Get a piece of I heart media, which is the the radio company. That's in bankruptcy. Currently only interesting because Liberty Media does have some liberty based content and they're looking to take about thirty five percent of our media. Not not particularly for the for the the liberty portion. But for the radio portion, I just I just found it interesting that Liberty Media was in a position to snag a significant chunk of iheartmedia as they come out of bankruptcy before we talk about that. Let me talk a little bit about the recent death of president George H W Bush. I it was it was I learned of his death through a post that was made on on Facebook. I believe and it just acknowledged it was a letter that George Bush had written to the incoming President Clinton about his time in the White House and about the about his hope and prayer for the future of the Clinton administration and the United States. It's a whole now to really appreciate that letter. You have to understand the context of it. The president President George Bush had lost a bid for reelection against the Clintons. It was a very contentious battle not as contentious in his ugly as the one between Hillary Clinton and President Trump, but it was very contentious battle. And they were not friends. They were not on good terms win after that election was over, but George being a man of being being a I don't know. I don't know if I don't know if it was a kinder, decent, man. I honestly don't know who the man was I know only the image that the media now portrays him in and I know him only from his actions as president..
