The justice department is expected to bring an anti trust lawsuit against Google in the coming weeks focusing on Google's dominance in the online search field a source tells the Associated Press antitrust officials are preparing to allege Google used its dominance to stifle competition and hurt consumers and it may be using improper online advertising practices a charge made by some lawmakers and consumer advocates Google has said even though its business is our large they're beneficial to consumers for more than a year of the justice department and the Federal Trade Commission have been investigating big tech companies looking at whether Google Facebook Amazon and apple have hurt competition stifled innovation or otherwise harm to consumers Jackie Quinn Washington
