Listen: Blackhawks, Vegas Golden Knights And Vegas discussed on Patti Vasquez with Andrea Darlas
"Two and then it became three two ducks. But still the Blackhawks were right in that game. They had a crossbar and three posts in that game last night. You get the sense that they're trending in the right direction. Now, we. We can talk about the post, and I feel that you make your own breaks. And and we had a stretch where we weren't very good and kind of turned the corner from that. And if we play at a high level those go enforce, and that's the challenge is you just keep pushing keep playing and keep relentless mentality. But thought we showed at times last game and the game before that and those possible enforce now the loss at the United Center to the Vegas Golden Knights started this five game losing streak. The hawks are currently on and over that time since that time. The Golden Knights has scored eighteen goals over four games, which is an average of over four per game earlier in the season their goal. Total wasn't at that rate. But now, it seems like they're filling up the net. What's going to be key for the Blackhawks defending what they do is? They move the puck forward, and they they attack with a ton of speed. And they put put you under pressure and force you to make. Plays when you're under pressure that causes turnovers. And then, you know, they're pretty opportunistic team. So we need to do is. We need to match that work ethic. We need to have numbers back, and we need to do to them what they need us. We gotta move bucks for we want to put their under pressure, and and have numbers going up placing we'll create our own chances. All right. There's going be some play around the Vegas net and in the game at the United Center. Marc Andre Fleury made some sensational saves this, you know, but around the Vegas net. When those opportunities present themselves, you know, there's going to be a battlezone involved with that what's going to be key in the Blackhawks cashing in. Yeah. Having people the net, and then finding a way to get on top of those rebounds. That's that's what goalscorers do. And you know, I think we can do better. There think we that has improved over the past month where we do have some more people than that. And it's just that extra level of you know, desperation and is hard to score goals. But if you have that then you're gonna find yourself with some open nets rebound chances. All right here are the raw numbers the Blackhawks on the power play our thirty-first that's last in the National Hockey League the Vegas Golden Knights on the penalty kill second overall. And I on home ice, and they are very stingy on home ice. They're very tough team to score on with regard to the power play last night against Anaheim. I saw some good puck movement on the power play. Try and I were talking about this in the booth, and we felt like that, you know, a break here and there maybe would had a good night on the power play. Do you feel like that's trending in the right rush? Yeah. We did some good things. I think it goes back to having. The people at the Natta. You know, I think it needs some off. He's always there. And that's a good start. I think we might try to get more people that the net because you know, if we do a good job like I thought we did last night getting some shots through and having pucks around that blue paint, if we have other people than we can get on the rebound, or maybe there's a screen, and it just goes in. So that that's something. We want to focus on right now. The team's lost five in a row and four in a row to the Vegas Golden Knights, and I know that these professional athletes, they have pride and they're human beings. They get sick of this losing thing. Do you think this game tonight might be a situation where it's going to be will against skill? Maybe the Blackhawks playing bring a little anger early on. Well, it's another opportunity for us for sure. And I don't think they have more skill than us. I think what they went on is their work ethic. And so challenge is going to be able to match and exceed that work ethic. And there's no reason why we shouldn't have just as much or more desperation than them. And if we do that I like her chances I Cam ward and goal. Crawford Crawford back to back. All right. Well, appreciate this. Jeremy thanks a lot. Go get him against the Vegas Golden Knights. Thank you as Blackhawks head coach. Jeremy Colloton,."
