Listen: Paul Goldschmidt, Cardinals And Scott Miller discussed on NBC Sports Radio
"Dan, Schwartzman, NBC sports radio last question, Scott. I love the Paul Goldschmidt deal for Saint Louis. You know, fourteen and a half million dollar contract. If they resign him after this year, it's not going to be Bryce Harper esque money. I think they gave up some high end guys guys who still kind of a long way from stardom. What industry wise is the verdict in terms of that deal for the cardinal, Scott? I lot of people like it. I think you know, Paul Goldschmidt is a very underrated player. If you could be underrated having finished in the top five of MVP voting. You know, the last three years, but he played in Arizona Diamondbacks. Don't have a big media part. They play western timezone. This guy is a stud. He can hit. He's gonna really improve the cardinals lineup. I mean, they've he'll be the best middle of the order. Hitters cardinals have had probably since our pool halls. Plus, I mean, he's just a professional. He takes everything. Seriously. You know, he's a perfect Saint Louis kinda guy. You know? He's not flashy out there. Works hardy gets job done cardinals fans gonna love Paul Goldschmidt. And I think his profile is going to raise having left Arizona. I mean, it's too bad that it had to happen that way because you know, I mean. Those hardcore baseball fans in Arizona deserves every bit of talent they can watch get to watch as well. But I I do think, you know, now Goldschmidt profiles get increase. He's going to be involved in important games is going to help the cardinals immensely. They'll be in contention. Most of the summer if not, you know, they'll either win or they'll be close to winning. And you know, a lot of people are going to see a lot of Paul Goldschmidt. He's can do some good things in Saint Louis. Absolutely. As professional players, you're gonna find second-highest Opie since two thousand twelve in the NFL only behind Joey Votto, tremendous player, buddy.
