"Situations. Now, sin Keiji. Oh, eight ten. Good evening. I'm Pat Thurston. Okay. Let's talk about this. I'm going to play a clip for you. But before I do I just kind of want to introduce it Ellen page is an actress an actor. She's. She was in Juno. I mean, you've seen her in in many things she's become a pretty big deal. She's also gay and she's married. She has a lovely wife. She appeared on the tonight show with Stephen Colbert. And she appeared there because she's got a a piece that she's done that she's promoting, but she got kind of emotional because one of the things that she began to talk about was the assault of Jesse smaller. Jesse small it is an actor on empire. He plays a gay. He a gay character. And recently, he himself has come out as gay and this was a hate crime, pure and simple. He was beaten up. There was a rope tied around his neck. There was a parent one of the assailants they were at least two assailants one of the assailants said, you know, this is mega country. You don't belong here is a really awful thing. He when he. They left him. And he made it to the police. He still had the rope around his neck, and he had obviously been assaulted. It's it's an ugly situation and he was assaulted because he's gay so she's gay. And so she spoke about this. And that's what you're going to listen to now, we have a media that's saying it's a debate. Whether or not what just happened to just these small at as a hate crime. It's absurd. This isn't a debate.."
