So check that out bright and early tomorrow morning. All right now, we're up to my pick my second pickier is Annabel comes home. I have been on an interesting journey with this specific portion of the conjuring franchise strongly, disliked, the first one. Then all of a sudden David Sandberg turned it around with the second one and at scared Yego last year, which is the Wednesday night thing at Comecon that one brothers and new line does, when they announced that the new Annabel movie was basically going to be the artifacts room that the warrants keep meat night at the museum sold. I think that's a genius idea. I love that. I'm really excited for Gary Doberman. I think it's a big deal that he's finally making his direct to'real debut. He's had a hand in so many great harm movies out there. I'm curious to see what he does behind the lens. And also, I am the, the self announced leader of the McKenna grace fan club. I just think she's. Going to be the greatest thing in the world. So I love the fact that she is Judi Warren. And I feel like this is just going to be another role that she excels at is anybody else here. Excited ran ball Tom gonna look at for films. Those same way thing about acting jobs. It's like I'll be happy once the check clears gotta think so. It's like I got to watch it on. No, for sure. How I feel about man? Because every time I see a commercial yet. Yeah. Looks exciting. But I've been let down so many times. Right. So I'm just going to my head hold out so many questions that we can't start asking now. I, I have a long list of recommendations for you right now. We gotta move on your last pick, Roca met and black international. I'm looking forward to this. You got great chemistry here with two Intesa Thompson, and Chris Hemsworth, look, this is speaking of Will Smith Aladdin. Here we go. This is a legacy thing. We'll see how this turns out want this to be good. I liked men in black three. I liked him in black one not men in black two. So if they're on outsing whole new universe here with these two actors bringing us a trilogy, as well, then that would excite me on so many levels. Plus, you got Emma Thompson kicking ass. You got leeann Niessen in this thing. So there's a lot to like about this. And I hope they knock it out of the park and get it right. Because I enjoy them in black university. I really want this to work. I said, oh, I said ass now. There's three of men in black two is the greatest movie of all time. Oh my God. Okay. No. Chris Hemsworth is my new man crushed here. So I mean, I'm excited just to see him do something else, besides store, and I agree with you. Many black is just an awesome universe. And I don't feel like it's been fully explored to excessive it's abilities. And I'm hoping this finally does I will never say no to another team up with Tessa Thompson, and Chris Hemsworth. And I will leave it at that. And I'll toss it back to you. Jabbie once upon a time in Hollywood. Good choice. It'd be like, there's another one, but, like Tarantino loves to talk about movies through his characters in every single film that he does. And I feel like he's finally just having the characters be people who work in film, and I feel like that's super exciting. The air is a very beloved era. I feel like for America in general second onto the eighties. And so to see that era through Tarantino's is a super exciting. I think this is the character that's also easy to get behind someone who was on the cusp of being washed up and trying to fight that, like, midlife crisis that super exciting to me like there's so many reasons that I feel like this film's going to be amazing. I reactions have very intrigued to because it doesn't seem like a movie that sent everybody out the door, even though. The Rams were largely positive not everyone was like there's greatest thing ever go see it. A lot of people said they have to show a little sit and think about it. And as much as I wanna love every single movie, I see I do want to sit on something a little bit before. I'm ready to formulate my opinion on something. It means there's something extra to it that I actually have to process, and maybe even interpret for myself that makes you feel good, because that's how people felt after glorious bastards, and that's one of my favorite fills with Tarantino as well who had to go away from it kind of process and what he citizens he made in that film. This is a great cast. So I'm excited to see it. And tarintino rarely lets me down. So I'm excited for him to go back to an era of time where he is that influences a lot of the films he does he pays a lot of that era of time in his films. I've felt let down by Tarantino a lot of times, but a lot of times, but I feel like his choices are always bold always him like an unquestionably. It's like he's doing something that he feels strong about, and I can get behind that. Even if I don't agree with it. I'm like, at least he did him. And that was one of the deals he made in getting this film made was like he has to have full creative control. He's only let me down when he acts. Great voice in the movie, one more movie to hit right now. And this is me giving some independent love to Brittany runs a marathon, which was my favorite movie from Sundance twenty nine thousand nine hundred and it is part of the reason why I signed up to run the New York City marathon, I've found this movie. So, so inspiring Jillian. Bell is fantastic in it? And I basically cried throughout the entire third act of the movie it was good, tears, though, 'cause I walked out, feeling good feeling inspired ready to sign, my life away and try to run twenty six point two miles, which I'm terrified of this movie is scheduled to hit theaters on August. Twenty third, it's a limited release, and then expands thereafter. Cannot recommend this movie enough? Check that out. I never heard of this. But it three hundred you apparently you know what happened with all you know what I'm talking about. I'll do get nam. How do I do the three hundred hundred? Yeah. I, I guess that's fair statement, then hopefully actually finish them out. I don't know this movie, though, like it's great. It was a debut at Sundance, and it got largely rave reviews or I mean, only right reviews, based on what I've seen, and what I've heard from friends of mine, and it got it got a solid release date in late August, where I think an independent movie like this could wind up popping, and hopefully with the expansion, especially the expansion leading up to the New York City marathon at the beginning of November. Hopefully that's a sign that it'll have legs at it'll get a little love to we do want to save a little bit of time today for some two hundred questions, but before we move onto those, let's recap everybody's picks. Take your notes now starting with Roka's list here, and we've got Hobson Shaw, Godzilla king, a monsters and men in black international. Moving onto jabs list here. He's got Spiderman far from home the law. Lion, King, and once upon a time in Hollywood winding it down with my own list. It is toys story. Four Annabel comes home and Brittany runs. A marathon before we say goodbye to you guys. Let's hit two quick Twitter questions this first one here is from Ian wilder at Jimmy the boss on Twitter, who asks any guesses on what will be the sleeper hit of the summer, I randomly, chose the art of self defense, which is the Eisenberg just because it sounds like something that would be very, very interesting. And Jesse Eisenberg is a good actor and self-defense things are interesting to see him in that kind of a role. I heard good things about that one out of south by south west. I didn't get seat myself though. Okay. But you got Roca crawl. This might surprise everybody that as a guy who lived in Florida for years. I knew all about alligators groggy, dials. So being in that trailer just got me and I love those kind of crazy walkie action movies. And you got Barry pepper in this thing. So I'm excited to see if it works. I think people want go to more than people think I am. Could get behind that. I'm actually going to choose movie coming out this week and say watch out for rocket man, because buzz is good. And this could wind up being the next bohemian rhapsody in terms of making a significant amount opening weekend, and sticking around for a long, while it was a sleeper hit, though, it if it makes money because it's like a big budget movie, isn't it? Like I feel like it's expected to make money immediately took everything out of the equation. That was like a big studio franchise, like ten Paul type thing. And in my mind, rocket man is not that, but I'm sure that cost a pretty penny. The make well those are our picks for you. Ian now, one more question, really quickly Ryan BELTRAN at Ryan BELTRAN on Twitter asks does Toy Story for a shot at reclaiming the title of highest grossing animated film, and beating incredible to what say you guys know I don't think so. I really don't think so incredible stews loved way more than toy stories for as I can tell I love towards through I love towards story. But yeah. I feel like when you ask people, what's your favorite Pixar movie, everyone goes through incredible 's, like everybody. The most mind Isla finding nemo most his mind, never watched that, even if you just paid it much incredible versus Toy Story. I do wonder how many people out there would pick one over the other. I actually don't think it's going to be that either. And it's strictly because I think the stars just the line to well for incredible too, when it came out it made a hundred eighty two million dollars opening weekend. And at this point, they're just long-range projections, but I think the Toy Story, four numbers coming in closer to like one twenty such a huge gap right now, the gap could close based on reviews and how the high builds as we get closer to the release. But I don't know that one eighty two is just a really, really high number to match. I agree with thirteen years for a sequel to incredible, so people the patient had built so people are flocking to see the state. It was any good. And then with does story four, there's people who are resistant to it, because they think ended just fine until story three no need to make a fourth one. So I think it will depend on reviews and reactions. Maybe it's got legs but it's also the summer, we'll see. I just don't see it happening. I love Toy Story. So I'm happy to watch it. But I do think they probably should've killed them in Toy Story. Three. Remember when they were in the thing. His hands like just let them die horrible for the children. They should all go out of the theater crying amazing guard like and then tire like planets worth as you want inside out our favorite ones Spiring. It's a movie or formerly used to process, your emotional. No. Theaters wanted to kill myself. It was so depressing. You know what I'm talking about wanting cares apart. But certainly not why he was darn pretty dark. Yeah. Pixar movies are dark. I mean up you mentioned the first twenty minutes, I ten minutes up is pretty brutal emotionally for you to attach to a couple. And then see what happens to that couple. And you're like, oh my God. I find them to be like, really encouraging, and almost uplifting ways of tackling stressful real emotions and darker, emotions that we experienced because you're a horror fan. Yeah. You like you live in that darkness. I don't think so. I think like most horror movie lovers and filmmakers, I know are usually like the brightest peppy as people, which most people, I mean yeah, that's actually true del. Toro is certainly. Yeah. The list could go on and on. But we do have to wrap up this episode here. Thank you, guys, so much for joining us on this Memorial Day Jabbie. Thank you for coming by the studio road, blank, you as always.
