White House begins talks with lawmakers on COVID-19 relief


Talks have begun in Washington over president Biden's one point nine trillion dollar coronavirus relief package which is facing increasing pushback lawmakers on the right question the wisdom of racking up bigger deficits while those on the left urging by did not to spend too much time on bi partisanship when the pandemic is killing thousands of Americans each day and costing more jobs amid tightening restrictions in many communities the plan includes a hundred and sixty billion dollars for vaccine distribution and fourteen hundred and direct payments to most Americans many hope to approve a relief package before former president trumps impeachment trial which is set to begin in two weeks I'm Julie Walker
