Mudslide Traps Over a Hundred Motorists Overnight in Colorado

Automatic TRANSCRIPT

And over 100 motorists were stranded on a Colorado highway this week after mudslides shut down the interstate. The Colorado Department of Transportation says the motorists were trapped on I 70 in Glenwood Canyon overnight on Thursday, and about 30 of them took shelter in the hanging Lake tunnel. Crews were able to clear a path to rescue the travelers. On Friday morning, I 70 and Glenwood Canyon remains closed as flash flooding continues to create mudslides and the burn scars of the Grizzly Creek fire in western Colorado.
