Parts of Texas and Louisiana face major flooding from Tropical Storm Imelda


Texas governor Greg Abbott has declared thirteen counties disaster areas after heavy rain and flooding from the remnants of tropical storm Imelda swamped parts of the state the Houston area is getting drenched Brian Hawthorne is the sheriff in chambers county part of the problem I think we we yesterday we're getting six inches an hour it some point so we think we some people say we only got a tan but most of the people around here think we probably got fifteen eighteen inches of rain in some places could get forty inches of rain with this is all said and done most of southeast Texas was under a flash flood watch through tomorrow
