President Trump announces regulations that could lower prices for many prescription drugs
Administration is moving to close some unfinished business on lowering prescription drug costs during the president's final weeks in office. Currently, drug companies provide large discounts on the price of prescription medicine is including nearly $40 billion in rebates. Medicare part D plans last year alone. Get off in middle men stopped those discounts from going to the patients, which is what we're interested in not the middle man. Another new rule would tie payments for drugs given in a doctor's office to lower prices paid overseas. It remains to be seen if the new rules will stay in place under a new administration.
