NASA's asteroid-blasting spacecraft has stored over 2 pounds of alien dust and rock to bring back to Earth
Says it's asteroid hunting spacecraft is bringing home a lot more stuff than they expected. Scientists originally expected maybe a few grams, even a few ounces of material for the asteroid Bennu. Instead, they say, the Oh Cyrus Rex spacecraft scooped up more than £2 of material. During its quick touch and go last week, 200 million miles from home and may have grabbed twice a cz Muchas that, but not all of it fit into the sample Return container. That material is tucked away for a return trip that starts next march. If all goes well, those samples returned to Earth in just under three years.
