One Day discussed on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory
And history makes him of a really interesting cases never really been looked at seriously by anyone it still sits there and so the unsolved case file in would you highlight cases like this in the in the podcast the dearly departed podcast. definitely yeah it's the thing is the odd little stories about people that you may be for crime you know would but but what for instance there's a woman by the name of seizing cabbage she she her she is some called the wasp woman and you know the kind of went no where either she was she was a a pretty lady beautiful actress will say and she had some interesting romances and she had a child and they lived in Sherman oaks and she wasn't working so much anymore but one day her son murdered her with a barbell she's and pleasure to death and his is the barbell in a box of tide detergent then called the police claiming ninjas chill because mother and son Timothy was a actually a medically defined the war and he was gone he got away with the crime he was acquitted because he was an experimental growth hormones so there's a story for you and three I think of our show that's right that's right the two or three at once well she was a one time wonder in the movies yeah but she also Timothy Roman Scott who was our son was they they it was rumored to be he was with her affair with king Hussein of Jordan so it just because it's weirder and weirder and there's a see a potential involvement in all of that and everything it's the really bizarre story. note so her death makes her yeah interesting to me that those are the kind of interesting stories that I kinda gravitate towards the things you didn't know about the things you maybe thought you knew everything about their history you know and those are the ones that we that pique our interest what was the silent movie theatre murder what was that. well there and it is a fascinating story there was literally a silent movie theater on Fairfax near in here in Hollywood and Jim one husband wife opened it in the forties they were showing exclusively silent films is a place where we're chapel and and and clear but we're going to see their own films if they you know when it was a wonderful place well though husband wife were opened it preserve silent films ironically he passed away from cancer from the fumes from the chemical city use reserve the cells and his wife had closed the place up and then the young students from across the street sort of befriended her by the name of Lawrence Austin and persuaded her to let him operate the theater so they re opened it with Mister Austin at the hell am Mister Austin had a boyfriend that illegitimately became the projectionist even in the sixties and he loved the place you would introduce the films he would ripped the tickets and sell the tickets in one day during the us all of us so much called sunrise search shortly after the phone began a young man came from the theater and ask the candy counter girl if they had advance tickets for sale she pointed them to Mister Austin at the box office to which you walked up and shot him in the face and kill them instantly took off running through the through the theater out the back way so the crime was installed for the longest time and they had you know fundraisers and go find means the it wasn't called go fund me back then but but tutus to bury Mr Austin to do tributes for Mister Austin and it was a big deal and and people from LA were outraged and disgusted because of this wonderful situations that they're this wonderful sort of landmark was now in questionable future and it turned out with the the boyfriend had hired this young man to kill his Mister Austin and the candy counter girl so he would inherit the the movie theater. it's a great story and and also Mister Austin it does still haunt that theater he is still most definitely hang around in that theater. come back and talk more about some paranormal experiences you've all tab will also talk about the curse of Benedict canyon and Scott I understand you've got a collection of strange artifacts let's have you explain those when we come back as well Mike Dorsey Scott Michaels our special guest will take some of your haunted questions next hour with both of them their website dearly departed pod dot com that's where you can listen to their podcast dearly departed pod dot com that we have linked up for you at coast to coast AM dot com so we'll be back in a moment those of you calling hang with us a little bit we're going to take calls at the top of the hour we'll be back.
