Listen: LA, White, Dr Martin Luther King discussed on The Movement with Dr. F Keith Slaughter
"Slow down. Down through the Dr king eighty W A. Okay. The community you brought it up to get get get get in. Fact me my deejay deejay J D blue criminal the place to be here. You got you load up a bomb or something? Home. Hey, clouds, so. JJ? Up in here. Making tight radioed is more Killanin, Free State and. Any sick, man. He doing the wildly sick. You know, you to have respect for. Push to get better when they get sick. Coffin every day. For four nine two two seven zero three Lonzo fool blaze. That's cool. In a conversation. I've invited into a conversation. About this wild black phenomenon. And what's really behind it? Why is it that black people find themselves the target of being accused by white? Oh. Stuff that we didn't know was was against the law like. You know, like. Go into your apartment. It's a beautiful thing. No. Because what we have come to find out or see in this latest occurrence that we know about. This woman lost her. Lost her job. Fooling around like that. Complicated people's lives for no apparent reason. The this is what makes it so bad. Police kill black people. See when when when when folk call when you call the police on a black person we had to be scared. We ain't gonna make it out of the. Of the confrontation. We will make it out of the engagement alive. So you know, me I try to keep as much distance between myself and the police is possible. Because they got a history of killing us. So when you call them on us for something. That is nothing you put my life in jeopardy for nothing. And that's unacceptable. And I think it has to be some kind of legislation passed or some kind of laws to be invoked a policies that say, you know, you not only do you lose your job. But you got to go to jail. For for putting somebody else's life in jeopardy. You know, what these police do? Four zero four nine two seven zero three Johnny. I'll let me hey, how you doing today? All right. Right. Good. Yeah. What about you? Wonderful wonderful is going to have to do. I get. There you go. Hey, before I touch on on on the subject, you mentioned that, you know, talking about the police in, you know, but I thought it was great special on HBO. And it was about the serial killer killer in LA killing the prostitutes in in the way. He saw. But what? Okay. It's a very very good documentary. Youtube. But one thing that what about the white police that was killing all the people. Yeah. What were they white people turned out not to be a white people white police? It was a black black, man. Okay. And your point. Okay. The point is one thing that they mentioned was that one of the attorneys representing that was out there. They had organization that was trying to let people know autocratic as of whoever watch out for this killer. They say, they always tell my son. This is turning. I always tell my son. If something happens don't call the police, and so you always wonder why we don't call the police. She said what happens if you go in there and tell the police that something's going on they'll start looking at you as a criminal try to find a case on you. This is in LA. So she said don't win. Please call don't don't help. I mean when when you hear crime don't call the police because you end up going going to jail on some advocates. They're trying to get you going to add on another case. So that was something. I was talking about is would they call the Golden State killer. Okay. Gotcha. I had them you confuse you head going. Golden State killer years a white man guy. Police who who committed a serial killer guy killed at least twelve people in California where there's this black guy supposedly killed at least eight they say could be a two hundred who knows. But, but yeah, so what it is is really said, the main topic, I would say is, you know, the way we viewed in the interest, the media and all those things so so all the white people have always been suspicious of back black people, you know, from like, you said from savory on to was suspicious of what I mean to begin with him being suspicious that we was that we were trying to run away and get from slavery now. They think we still running to get out of slavery. Yes. Yeah. So NASA suspicion is now that you free. You must be up to something. That it does. That's what it is. So you know, and I I've experienced that the song. After no good. You know? And so, you know, they say really happens a lot when you're in when you're in their communities when you're in areas that are not a lot of. A lot of black people. So what you're suggesting what I hear you suggesting is black people are participating in their own own big sense of being accosted. Just because they in places where they ain't got no business. No, not at all. I'm not saying that. But that's. That's the way that's the way. They see it. Okay. That's the way they see it. I'm definitely not saying that. But I yeah. But I've experienced I'm saying. Well to be in be round your community. If that's been the money and other people community. At least you a lesson. Your percentages are being knocked by now if you're looking at it that way, I'm with you on that. Okay. Yeah. You know? But yeah, I've experienced there's so many times, you know, going out and doing work in in areas like that. They just they just feel that they can just come up and ask you anything and tell you anything I've had people ask me what I'm doing here. Thirteen eighty W A. Okay. Stefan.
