They were part of a class action lawsuit against American building maintenance. The janitors alleged A BM failed to provide mileage reimbursement to workers and deducted meal periods from employees without evidence that meals were taken. Attorney Stan My Allison says the suit has already helped improve practices in the janitorial industry.
