Listen: Japan, Karate Dojo, Softbank discussed on Ninja News Japan
"So you've probably heard a couple of stories about five G. What is five G? It's the cellphone network in his faster than four G, because it has one more G before G was significantly faster than three g because it had a g beyond three it had four Gs and now we're gonna get even more than that the gees are going to be off the charts soon. So once we get five G cell phone technology, we're basically have a new network to be on in, in Japan so many people have smartphones. They're actually finding the running out of phone numbers. So this is led to a very interesting thing, that's going to happen from twenty twenty two they're going to start having fourteen digit phone numbers, and the cell phones are going to start with zero two zero. So right now, I think there's three basic codes that indicate a cellphone zero nine zero zero eight zero and I think there's one more. So from twenty twenty two it's going to be zero to zero and in the rest of your phone number. That's going to mean. It comes from a cell phone. The interesting thing I found in this story that wasn't actually talked about is. The carriers are going to get the new numbers when they upgrade their systems. So we have about three major cellphone providers network providers in Japan, we have DOCOMO and SoftBank and a you, there's a couple of other ones that are smaller or their offshoots of those big ones. But what happens if if I'm SoftBank and I up grade, the SoftBank system first, we can start offering those fourteen digit phone numbers, I so the government's actually gonna give it to the cell phone carriers when they've upgraded their system satisfactory. So this is going to try to push them to do it more quickly, because when they offer the new phone numbers that's going to be a special thing. It's going to be something unique in Japan. I'm one of those people who has a fourteen digit phone number aren't I cool being able to offer that I is going to be something that the cell phone carriers can actually make it sound like a special thing and they might actually get more users who want to be the first one of their social group or their friends. That has one of these new phone numbers, because that would be a really neat thing to be able to say, like I have my ten fifteen friends might actually use my phone with, and I say to them. Oh, my phone numbers changing is one of the new fourteen digit ones you might have a hard time. Remembering it, no one remembers phone numbers anyway. But again, there are people who care about being the first big care about being special, and this is an interesting way the government is going to push these cell phone companies to upgrade their systems as quickly as possible. So there was a Cusack, and they decided they needed some money they decided they weren't gonna do something illegal. They would go to a Bank and get a loan properly, and they were arrested. And the reason they were arrested because they did not reveal their yet coups affiliation. Now, the reason they didn't reveal their yakuza affiliation is because it's very likely that, if they did the Bank wouldn't have given them the loan, so they managed borrow ten million yen. But then someone became suspicious and actually had the police investigate. They said they were borrowing the money for the daily operation or the maintenance of karate Dojo, but it turns out that we don't know if that's true. So there's a couple of levels here. If it turns out the ten million yen was used for criminal activity that will be another crime charged on top of the crime that they've actually committed the crime. They've committed is not revealing the association that they had on ously when making the loan application, I got very. Frustrated once in Japan, when I tried to change money I'd take money out of my Canadian Bank account, and it was not a significant sum of money. It was like a thousand dollars, maybe two thousand dollars and I was given a sheet, and I fill it out and say, whether or not I was a terrorist, and of course, the logic in my head said, well, if I was a terrorist, I don't think I would write that down. But what they're doing is actually stacking the crimes, you will be guilty of if they actually catch you in something nefarious the first crime, I would have committed if I did, then go into a very small amount of terrorism because I don't think you can do a lot of terrorism for two thousand dollars. But in this case, ten million is quite a lot of money, the first crime, they committed was actually fraud that they committed with the Bank by not revealing their proper association with a criminal organization now. So the coups did everything right for the criminal element. Let's just be honest about that. But the fact that they've got caught they're actually not going to be guilty of two crimes. Instead of one, the first one is fraud. And getting alone from the Bank in the second one might be miss usage of the funds, because if they didn't use the ten million yen for a karate Dojo. They've now committed a second kind of fraud and that money goes to some sort of illegal activity, that's actually going to be third crime. And this is something they do in Japan. Maybe they can't get you on one of the crimes. They try to stack up a bunch so they can get you on a couple of the other ones. So it is very, very likely that these yet, who's a are going to be arrested, probably giving some prison time, and this is a story, I would like to follow up on because I'd like to see what they're charged with be, how many charges and see what kind of penalty comes with it. So in Japan they do a lot of school trips. That's fine. It's fun. It's good for the kids to get out and kinda socializing being different environment. Two hundred and fifty kids from this high school, it's two hundred and fifty people because it's kids and teachers, but it's of course, going to be like, ten fifteen teachers, it's going to be a few teachers for every number students, two hundred and fifty people in total. But it's a lot of kids and he's are all teams fifteen sixteen seventeen years old. They took them to a hot spring, now, hot spring bathing nude, and they went to a hot spring, where it was separated. So the girls would be in one side and the guys would be in another. So that seemed fine. They posted teachers at the doors that would lead to the girls bathing area because they already knew that the boys would try to see the girls naked. So you can see there's already a problem if you are pre-empting an issue, you know, those kids are going to try to do that thing, maybe this was the problem from the start, they should have gone to an all boys. Is one and taking the boys and girls to another something like that. I don't know. I don't have a solution for them. The problem was. They knew the boys, we're going to try to take a peek at the naked girls is soon again, as soon as you start. Posting guards you probably have not made the right. Choices in where your school trip is there is always a very, very high wall that separates the male and female bathing areas, of course, high walls as we've learned from Trump's experiments can be beaten by determination. So the boys, I don't know, if they built a human pyramid or a tower, the gotten each other's shoulders, but they did a stack of human beings to look over the wall into the girls area. So some of the boys achieve the goal of seeing some of the girls, naked, the girls, of course, then reported that they were being viewed by the guys and this is really creepy. The stop it. The tally was fifteen boys manage to look over or were involved with the climbing of the. Wall to look over into the girls area. There were another fifteen boys in the area. Now they said they were jeering them or encouraging them or shouting them on. They weren't stopping them all thirty boys in the area at the time we're going to be punished the same way as even if they didn't see anything even if they didn't participate in it. They didn't go out whether to stop it. So they are actually going to be punished for the same crime as the guys who looked over the wall. And they didn't even get to see a naked girl so that to me is teaching a weird thing because it's like if you're going to get punished, you might as well commit the crime release. That's way, I think about it, but I apparently I'm not as moral as Japanese people the results. No one's. There's no criminal charges here. But they had the school board had to apologize to the public and the boys are going to have to go through sensitivity training now. I would love and I'm very interested to see the results of sensitivity training with fifteen year old boys because I remember what I was like when I was fifteen. In any serious discussion, you had with me. I was so uncomfortable. I immediately tried to make jokes. I tried to get out of it. I tried to be awful. And I did, what most fifteen year old boys, do I tried to impress my friends, because sensitivity training isn't going to stick with fifteen year old boys. Now, again, I come from a different culture. I have a different Taliban. Let's say it might be really effective Japanese kids. I'm actually hopeful that it is. But it seems like this desire to have a very nice Japanese trip to a hot spring was a bit of a failure because the guards didn't work logic for me is fifteen year old boys are always going to try to see fifty girls if they're naked, if you have to post guards you've already made a mistake in your choices and someone please video the sensitivity training with thirty fifty year old boys. Statistics. I know a lot of people don't care about them. But I really like six love statistics yesterday in my class, I was actually eating my class charts. And I was having really good time. I have no idea anyone else liked it. But charts to ticks, these are these are the things that make the world go round, as far as I'm concerned and they've done another survey. And it's a great one because it's important, and I like the important surveys. And this is how many high school girls actually like and or identify as talk. So in Japan, a high school girl is called j joking Joshi, and they had one thousand two hundred and thirty girls. They did the survey with it was magazine, of course, and it turns out that eighty percent of these girls say that they like, oh, talk now I think this is because the turmoil taco has taken on another feeling since it was invented or used. Started to become common fifteen twenty years ago. So let's get all the details out. Because actually tells you a lot eighty three point five percent say they are talk oh now talk who the actual little transition. Is that you're a big fan of something, and it doesn't have to be anything specific? So we get the train talk and they're considered like the nerdy of the nerdy, and you get enemy. Oh taco. And of course, there's a lot of crossover there. And you get this kind of talk a baseball talk. So you can be an Ataka for anything. That's important to remember because you can be talk, who for really cool stuff.."
