Listen: Pete Buttigieg, John Mcguinness, Sacramento discussed on The KFBK Morning News
"Of the iheartmedia Sacramento team this Friday at the Roseville auto mall for a special event in support of law enforcement officers. It's called back the badge and our own John McGuinness will be out there from six AM until six PM handing out ten thousand. I back the badge bands. The idea is recognizing the fact that there seems to be an outpouring of desire to help out when a law enforcement officer pays the ultimate sacrifice and many women very well intended people want to help the families out the reality is the system does a pretty good job of attending to the financial needs of the families. What an officer does in fact paid Altemus sacrifice. However, as we look at the the people aspiring to get into the law enforcement profession there. There are costs associated with that. Noor opportunities for scholarships to local academies in this area. The Sacramento police department academy in the Sacramento sheriff's department academies and a significant number of the officers. Who have died in the line of duty in this region have been graduates of those two academy. So the opportunity to thought is to get people who are so inclined a chance to to donate to scholarship funds to help those people who are aspiring to be law enforcement officers and willing to or in a position where they have to sponsor themselves to help them offset the cost of that. So there will be opportunity to donate. But McGuinness says he just loved to see those who wanna stop by pick up abandoned say Hello as well. Dan missions will be out there. I will be out there as well as well as kitty, and that's this Friday at the Roseville automall from six am until six pm for back the badge. All right. We'll see out there. Six twenty five right now.
