Listen: Mickey Callaway, Jim Riggleman, Uelmen Harris discussed on John Jastremski Show
"Well Robinson can part of why you brought him in year was to provide some leadership for the younger players. All we heard it spring training was always such. It's a great example to Ed resign. He's going to show them the right way to play baseball. Well how's that working out right now? You know what I'd love to see I left to see one of the actual leaders on the Mets, who would be as I think, Lori said, as well, Jeff McNeil and Peter Alonzo. I like to see one of those two guys go up to Robertson, Cano and tell them how it supposed to be played and take it from there. You know that's a great point. You never going to say it, but that is a great point boat won their devante. No. As far as leadership never been a leader at any point is career the Yankees when he was on the New York Yankees. Remember is good as he was Geeta was there. Persada was there outside where he was there Mariano Rivera was there. And when he Yankees had a chance to put canot in a quote unquote leadership role. They sent them. Thanks, but no, thanks for Uelmen Harris, I'm gonna give you guys the option now of setting the over on their clock on when Mickey Callaway will be fired. You seem to think Harris, it will not be soon as today or tomorrow. I'm gonna I'm gonna say over on their six weeks. My fliegelman is Mickey Callaway. Right around the all star break, maybe a little bit before is Mickey Callaway still managing the New York Mets. I say, yes, I think he makes it to the all-star break, just for the reason that the Mets, the one thing, the Mets left to do is make excuses and point the finger at somebody else and wants Micky Calloway's fired Brodie van wagon and the wilpon will have nobody else to point the finger at nobody's really gonna get into Tim Riggleman when he takes over this team and it still stinks right now. Mickey Callaway is they're human shield. And I think they want to keep them in that role. Okay. Harris in six weeks over under as Mickey Callaway still, managing, I'm a little shocked that fliegelman said said over well not because he's good. Just because I hope. On this. Mickey Callaway is not the number one reason is losing games. No. This bought Harris. He's not a very good manager. I think if nothing else he's done a better job at communicating with the media. I will say that situation. I think. Rush slightly disagree with you on that. But anyway, don't like it. But he has communicated pretty much the situation. Not to my liking so he's handling of the situation is not as I was saying, I was shocked at fliegelman response. And I'm gonna shock you guys by saying under with that. I agree with that Harris. I think. I think I'm going to say June fifteenth somewhere around there. If the Mets don't turn things around because they have the sport. Poured quote unquote with Jim Riggleman, eventually. Riggleman is managing record. Very good. After he takes over some of these teams maybe giving him a spark plug. What happens down the road. He's not going to work out. I just telling you they brought him here for a situation like this, if they needed to jump start. These team we're looking at that situation. If it's forty small sample size I think it's just one of those elements. They throw it a fire. It's like Jim. I'm not saying long term on one chimp Riggleman one of my lease. It to you. It's one of the calls were all, you know, Jim Riggleman. It'll be what they need. No, he's not Jim Riggleman hasn't ever been what any team needs. No Joe Girardi is what they need. Even. Dusty baker. Right now, bring back, Terry Collins wouldn't like to hear this because it's invade on Brodie van wagon I would hire book show up there to do whatever the hell he wants. I'm dead serious.."
