Listen: LOU, Richard E, Melissa Mccarthy discussed on The Film Vault
"I told you I'm going to skip can you ever forgive me? Because I thought that I got the gist from watching the trailer a half dozen to a dozen times. And for the most part, I think it in. Where did throw me for Lou was how dark they got with her mental illness, which really delve into much as far because of the time. And and you know, mental illness wasn't really discussed back then. But obviously she was mentally ill. They did illustrate that realistically the friendship between her injury grant. Which? Was not revealed much in the trailer. Richard E grant was he's all over the trailers. This has accomplished in the train like that. And develop a weird friendship a friendship and it lasts on and off throughout the movie until it doesn't and I enjoyed it. But it wasn't like that pattern that I was maybe you worked it up too much in my head in people. I think the ninety eight percent rotten tomatoes. Really good. Well, like movie, I like it. I quite like a banana. I thought about this numerous times while I was watching this. Like, I like bananas. But it is a good. I haven't been in the morning sometimes bananas, but I've never had a banana. Holy fuck. I got a call my wife right now and talking to her tell her how great this banana is ask her where she got it. I wouldn't do that. Because you never an life. But it's a banana, it's fine. I've never had a terrible banana. Hannah movie. It's okay. It's what it's supposed to be. I thought that the the friendship the odd couple relationship and mental unless the fact that they it wasn't that character that you get right away. Oh, there's there's levels of this character. He's definitely levels. She's multifaceted, multi dimensional for sure. And I thought that the based on real-life Garrick when the wacky, you know, friends, sidekick character comes you kind of you know, to expect, but he even had levels, and this is a movie that was a little bit tainted by the trailer. I think about winning cold didn't know shit about it. I know Melissa McCarthy was doing a turn it in a dramatic role. And Richard E grant co-starring with her. I I would have been like what is this all about what a watched it would have been pleasantly surprised and probably like two quite a bit. Unfortunately, I I was subjected to the trailer number of times, and and your praise which kind of I think. What am I doing director of the diary of the teenage girl to I should say. Marielle heller. Born in nineteen seventy nine.."
