Governor Ron De Santis, California, New York discussed on Jay Talking

Governor Ron de Santis says the drive through testing site will open Monday for first responders in those over sixty five showing symptoms he also says the rising number of cases was expected because of more testing you know we have seen more overall cases but the percentage of people who test positive have declined the governor has not called for all beaches to be closed or for stay at home order unlike governors in other states with high numbers of cases like California and New York I'm Julie Walker president trump briefed reporters again Sunday evening about the corona virus he had an update on medical facilities in three states today I'm announcing action to help New York California and Washington insure that the national guard guard can effectively respond to this crisis the National Guard these are tremendous people they're fully alert we've said what we had to sign and date it's been activated we're dealing also with other states the states have been hit the hardest actually pretty much by far you could say the hardest everybody could see that just look at the numbers and through FEMA the federal government will be funding one hundred percent of the cost of deploying National Guard units to carry out approved missions to stop the virus well those governors remained in command so the governor's locally are going to be the in command and will be yeah following them and we hope they can do the job and I think they will I spoke with all three of the governors today and just a little while ago and they're very happy with what we're going to be doing because we'll be announcing some other things for those three states and some other states and where it's hit the hardest this actual give them maximum flexibility to use to guard against the virus without having to worry about costs or liability and freeing up state resources to protect the health and safety of the people in their state.
