Listen: Sacred Heart, Mary, George Collin discussed on Jay Talking
"Listen to the music part. It's disco song. It's much like rock the boat. Who's that van McCoy? Doc, the boat. The music part is kind of the same. All right. Bobby in the north end is going to explain macula conception. I had it wrong. Bob. Go ahead. To rock the boat. She's probably back. I remember the days we still casket beach from from downtown Boston here from the north end. I remember the reason I remember there was one day. They were playing that song. I thought it was kind of funny. They'll play rock the boat could beach. No. Kind of funny. Do disco dancing. I did back. Yeah. I like this guy. Teenager. And you can my teams down. I think what the disco was born in sixty six so. Yeah. I was just my teams when just guy, but I enjoyed it. Yeah. I remember dancing, my sister-in-law pose like little yet too young girl from but my sister, and I used to dance a lot, and we're rollerskating rollerblading rollerskating on it's been off back in the day. Landau street member spinoff. Oh, yeah. Jillian gillian. Atlanta street hoods, which dream whatever it's called good anyway corner of Ipswich in. Yeah. That was a great spot. You don't find many roles game places anymore. I used to enjoy it a lot of the kid and then went on and did that as a teenager. That's we did. There was the beginning of. Anyways, we're talking about the immaculate conception. I think he mistakenly referred to that is breadth. Breath of Jesus which technically. Actually, the breadth of Mary a lot of people a lot of people are, you know, make that mistake for some reason. I don't know why. And I don't know if I kind of consider myself an atheist, I don't really I was brought a Catholic. But I like say agnostic to offend people. APS kind of offend a lot of people, and it's not my style to offend anybody. But I'm gonna stick by lean towards I really consider myself an atheist, really. But anyway, but I did want to be a priest when I was younger, which is funny because all my friends make fun of me. The SpongeBob you go to church, and you don't even believe in God, but explain compete, but I still find comfort and going to church church in the north, and I go to Sacred Heart and. You know, I like this that I find comfort in it. But I do have I do question. It's just my style question. Everything you know. And when I was growing up I did attend CCD. And I didn't learn that in a lot of the information. And I just said I really wanted to be a priest which is kinda funny now that I don't believe in God a lot of people find that amusing. What the virgin birth is is is the remix. You remain there free of sin Sosa cheese. You technically a virgin, that's what the virgin birth is. That's what it's not like, she's the virgin birth was the breadth of Christ know, she's confused free of original sin. In the virgin birth is the same or different things immaculate. Conception is the birth. The birth of Mary the virgin birth. Mary remained a virgin even after the birth of Jesus. Which is you know, you have to like I said you have to have fair. It's kinda complicated. Which is why I don't put a lot of stock in it. It's it's a good. It's a good story that if you find comfort in God bless you. I don't want to offend anybody. If you find comforting and make life more meaningful legacy. It makes me more than meaningful. Go to church, but I just, but I think it's a nice story. It's a great concept. Do you believe the nose tail? No, no. I don't. You just call the details. So you questioned the too. So you know, if that was just a little what you call. It a tail and that's a great story. You know? And it's you know, if you learn things from it, it has a moral to the story. Great. It's funny because over the weekend, I just haven't run across any George Carlin clips, and he was explaining really brought up Catholic as well. And he does he goes into this. And he makes it really funny. You know, he explains it's a wonderful story in George Collin. Find it on YouTube. I would recommend anybody going look at George Collin, very funny, man. He's very smart. And he has some, you know, intelligent, intelligent stuff. That tells me ways to make somebody laugh like Stephen writing, a very smart, man. And he explained religion, very well. But it will give you a good laugh. You can find your Collin. Okay. I recommend it to anybody. Excellent. Anyway. After death defend you, I loved you win. Then I could tell a good judge of character. I've always been a good judge of character. Who is a good person? You know, what I mean, I've been made mistakes in my life like everybody, but I really liked JoAnne. Just from listening to over the, you know, when you get on Joey, and I've defended or in the past when she said something, you know, a few months ago, she got you all round up about something. But I always have to come to the defense because I can tell just in just in the sound of her voice. She's a good person. So I wanna wish merry Christmas tool was as well as everybody else out there. Gwen and happy merry Christmas. Or whatever you celebrate. Happy hannukah. Well, how about one seventy says like I'm not a center. I am not. I do not send. Well, there's so many other things in the world to worry about it. Actually, it's like. Yeah. But it's like, it's something a good to talk tonight or whatever. But I don't put much talking to like, I don't know. Like, I said, I just try to be a good person. I think I'm a good person. Am I if you look up what standards in in the bible, just a religious terms? Basically. That's what I look at it as a religious chairman. You know? It means you're perfect. Yeah. I know. That's what I said. I'm not perfect. Perfect. I'm not coming down on her her. I'm coming down on that thing that she says. Yeah, it's just I think the issues when you use the word sin. It's you know, some people just it's it's it's a hard word to the fire. You know, just very broad, you know, but we we all do things that you know. By the letter of the law. You know, we all see them differently. I mean, some something might say one like doing drugs is wrong to me. It's no big deal. If you wanna smoke a joint, but a. Who knows? But who am I to say, I don't put much talk in it? You know, it's like who's to decide what to say. I'm just trying to be good to people, you know, treat people the way I want to be treated, you know, treat me if I see someone, you know, hungry, you need food, or whatever I vote my door people the place to stay need a place to show, we need something to eat a feed, you, you know, I try to do the right thing in life. And I think everybody should do that. You know, this is just my style. But I am I a center, of course, I'd like to say it depends on what your definition of Senate. They're gonna everybody's different definition of. All right. It's all relative happy ramp up to Christmas. I'll probably talk to you before Christmas. Right. I hope so. Yeah, I'll try to sneak in the defenders something gets can round up enough to call in. It's like, you know, it's funny as I tried to call him for a while. There was always calling into the Trump or something. But like, I think I tried to explain to try to be more broaden that Collins one specific thing and no offense to them. Like what's his name? The guy just called him. He always going to be religious name escapes me. Now. Dot dot dot. Yeah, I'm sorry. My name is registered blanks. Doug. It's know he sounds like a great guy. Always a religious thing with him. Tuck to branch out sounds like a great guy. But I want to hear like, you know, more of what makes them check. What would you like to do with music? He's gonna come up with a music. The he called, and it's not about just me. Call them. He's big into music, but he always calls him on different topics. He seems like a cool guy. I really wanna go catch his massive someday. Entertainer. You know, I'd like to over and Dorchester about that area. Some I like to go see the guy 'cause I've heard him on what he looks shows. Yeah. Shows if you wanna put it that way. Yeah. Because it's nice to be. We have the discriminating here at Sacred Heart. I find them quite entertaining. Here's a good sense of humor, you know, all the older guy. But you know, he does a great homily, which is for people that don't understand the Catholic masses. You know, just basically when he talks about, you know, where we're going to talk about the day that's called the homily. It's kind of lesson of the day today. Reed Offman scripture that you know, sorta like relative to what he's talking about. Yeah. He doesn't integrate way. Nice little cars, we have over the Sacred Heart like right around the corner from my house, he should stop in some it's nine o'clock mass. And it's quite like, they'd be proud of it and Italian. So if you want to learn a little talion, the father screamer grimace. Yeah, we have actually three churches here in the north end, you know, saying which is one on Hanover street right on the corner there, and then there's also same Stephen's just a little ways down. That's where I was rose. Kennedy was actually married there from mistaken and Sacred Heart which is like sort of like on the other side, if you cross the street crossing the street, and if you stand in front across the street and walk straight down, we call it print street. It's like the other side this little print street down the side street there you run right into the sacred hat. We'll see a right down there. Sort of like global is houses sacred house. All right. If you made with the Sacred Heart there right across from his house, so nine o'clock match. If you wanna catch me, sometimes I don't go all the time not regular. But you know, I try to make it, you know, at least two or three times a month. I'm I'm in. Okay. Father scrimmage, a great guy. Who have a good time? I'll introduce you. Okay. I'll be listening to doesn't know I consider myself an atheist, but forgive me. He's probably. You never know you never know. Listen, you need to get into listen because we talk about religion so much. Yeah. I'm your biggest promoters. I'm always, you know, my friends. He'll what do you do sleep? Well, so listen to a radio a lot know wasn't TV. If I didn't have my radio I'd be lost. You know? I think before I'd be willing to pay for pay for radio like cable, you know. That more enjoyable, especially you, thank you very much, man.."
