Lakers, Tyrese Halliburton, Pacers discussed on Lakers Nation Podcast

I don't know. I don't know if that was a trade that Ron Gutman came up with. A couple of weeks ago said, oh, maybe this is something that would consider, it's something the Lakers will have to look at. And we'll talk about Russell a little later because there was some stuff that came out today that we need to get into again. Right now we're celebrating the win, but we'll get into that stuff. Would they accept that? I kind of doubt it. I don't think the pacers would go for that. If they would, I think the Lakers would have to seriously consider it, but I'm pretty high on brogden. I think they use a tremendous player and a great fit. But have some health concerns there. But we're going to get into the Westbrook stuff in just a little bit and what that might mean on the trade front. Yeah. Go ahead. I don't know why the pacers would do it. Honestly, more, I think thought about it is because Russ and tyrese Halliburton, that's worse than Malcolm Brogdon and Halliburton because obviously your number one priority is just make it sort of Halliburton continues to progress. And again, like we've talked about a lot recently, a less Russell Westbrook is willing to change his role like a lot. I don't see why the pacers are mainly because they have tyrese Halliburton at this point. Oh, somebody said, Trevor, how was your daughter's soccer match? I mentioned it on the front office show. It was good. It was a lot of fun. A bunch of 5 year olds running around in a swarm kicking a soccer ball. So I got that today, the galaxy got a win. The Lakers got to win. It's been a good day, but a good day. Yep. Manny James said love the way LeBron competed in this game and no quit rubbed off on the entire team and they all locked in and started playing team ball especially in defense. You know what? I have two ways of looking at this. First of all, we should, yes, credit the Lakers for playing the playing the level of defense that they did, being fired up by LeBron scoring. It shouldn't take that. We talked about this a little bit our Lakers Asian dot com group chat. The Lakers can be this team where their defense and their defensive effort and intensity can be determined by whether or not shots are falling on the offensive end for them. Now part of that is the domino effect where if you make shots, you're largely getting to set up your defense and play up against a half court offense instead of going into transition..
