Bill Matt, Dania Beach, Smarty Jones discussed on The Horse Racing Radio Network Podcast

Automatic TRANSCRIPT

I think he could have won last time out in the Central Park for if not for all those issues that you detailed so beautifully just moments ago. The outside post should actually help him stay out of that kind of trouble. And I feel bad for Todd pledge. He's having a slow start to the meat only winning 12 of his first 26 starters that he sent out a cool 46%. He's got another big chance he's got a few chances actually to win the dania beach race 9 tomorrow at Gulfstream. Final stake race on the Gulfstream card tomorrow is the $150,000 mucho macho man stakes. Now this raises for the newly turned three year olds going a one turn mile, it's actually not a points race on the road to The Kentucky Derby, three other stakes this weekend are the Jerome at aqueduct. The smarty Jones at Oakland, the sham at Santa Anita, this race is not. I have a feeling that will change at some point in the future. Only a field of 6 here, bob, but some pretty lively runners, including number two strike hard who's coming off a monstrous win at this distance against allowance foes last time. Yeah, that was an intrigued by the number 6 horse graphic detail in here. Practical joke his Sierra decided marvelous season freshman season at so many good first out winners, somebody horses that had three or four runs and just really exceeded expectations. This is an expensive one. He cost $320,000 in the January sale when he was at when he was a yearling and really Bill Matt is one of those stables that just shouldn't be gay, you mentioned early earlier doesn't really have them completely cranked up first time out. You know, usually they go out there for education and they're well met, they're fit. They just haven't completely turned all the screws on them. And this horse overcame that and really showed a lot of determination down the center of the track at Belmont winning is made under it can sell by a half length on November 6th, switches to sigh as off to just a fantastic start at Gulfstream. And I think that the one turn miles should suit us out of a Dixie in mayor. I think it's a big shot from the very likeable outside post. All right, so graphic detail for bob 5 to two second choice on the line. I went to the favorite number two strike hard. Just super impressed by his last win. Now I do think he kind of had it all his own way that day. He was in post 8 in an 8 horse field. He was the 7 to 5 favorite. It would certainly was not quite the competition that he's going to be seeing tomorrow. But I think anywhere close to the way he ran last time out makes everyone else have to improve to beat him. And that's why I put them on top. Maybe he's just a horse that since they added blinkers last time out. He's a different horse. I don't know. He's going to have to prove it against tougher competition from a lesser post position if you will two to one is a fair price though. I think strike card is going to be tough to beat. I'm going to take him. Bob goes with the 6 graphic detail in race tenant Gulfstream tomorrow, the mucho macho man. We're going to take another break. When we come back, we're going to head out west. They've got four graded stakes on the Saturday card at the great race place tomorrow. This is the weekend stakes preview presented by nyra betts.
